Virginia toughens Standards of Learning Tests Pass rates fall in Algebra 84 to 49

“Tougher testing lower pass rates in Albemarle Virginia”

Pass rates in algebra one statewide in Virginia fell from 84 to 49 percent.  The new tests started in 2011.

Albemarle County includes Charlottesville, VA and Monticello the home of Thomas Jefferson.  The University of Virginia, founded by Thomas Jefferson is in Albemarle County.
